There are three dormitories affiliated with the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) in Tarsus. In addition to these dormitories, which have substantial capacity, private dormitory options are also available in the city.

Our University has various student clubs and societies that are open to all students. In addition, the Management Information Systems Department has its own Management Information Systems Student Society. Management Information Systems is an interdisciplinary field that combines business and information technology and prepares students to meet these evolving needs.

The Management Information Systems Department is an interdisciplinary field that brings together people, technology, and information management. One of its primary objectives is to collect, organize, and present information in an integrated manner to support managerial decision-making.

The department also aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in areas such as the design and development of information systems and applications, information technology project management, management of information resources and systems, and risk and security management in information and communication technologies.

Our department offers a multidisciplinary curriculum that balances management and computer science courses in order to prepare students for the rapidly evolving field of information systems. The program includes courses such as Management and Organization, Economics, Marketing, Computer Programming, Statistics, Systems Analysis and Design, Decision Support Systems, and Operations Research.

The language of instruction for 30% of the program is English. In addition, students have the opportunity to take various elective courses from their third year onward, allowing them to develop both their academic and professional interests.

Through this comprehensive education, our graduates are prepared for careers in a wide range of fields requiring both technical and managerial competencies.

Our department also organizes practice-oriented activities and career events that bring students together with professionals working in the public and private sectors.

Students enrolled in our department also have the opportunity to participate in Double Major (ÇAP) and Minor programs to gain academic knowledge and experience in another field.

Minor Program: A Minor Program allows undergraduate students to successfully complete a designated set of courses from another department at their university alongside their primary degree program. Students who successfully complete the requirements receive a certificate in the relevant field.

Double Major Program (ÇAP): A Double Major Program allows undergraduate or associate degree students to complete all courses determined by another department while continuing their primary program and, upon successful completion of both programs, receive a second associate or bachelor's degree.

Management Information Systems students may apply for the Double Major Program (ÇAP) in Computer Programming (Vocational School).

For the Minor Program, students may apply to Industrial Engineering (Faculty of Engineering) and International Trade and Logistics (Faculty of Applied Sciences).

Our department has a mandatory internship requirement of 30 working days. Students can complete their mandatory internship during the summer periods following the completion of their second year.

In addition to the mandatory internship, students may also participate in internship opportunities through the National Internship Program or undertake a voluntary internship.

Summer school courses may be offered within the academic year. The principles and procedures governing summer school education are determined by the University Senate.

Within the framework of the principles established by the Senate and upon the decision of the relevant administrative board, students may take courses from the summer school programs of other higher education institutions. The transfer of the credits and grades obtained from these courses is carried out upon the decision of the relevant administrative board. Grade conversions for courses taken from other higher education institutions are conducted in accordance with the principles determined by the University Senate.

Our students can benefit from Erasmus+ Study Mobility and study for one or two semesters at partner higher education institutions abroad.

In addition, students can participate in Erasmus+ Traineeship Mobility and have the opportunity to undertake an internship abroad.

The Management Information Systems Department offers 30% English-medium education and provides a one-year English preparatory program for students.

At the beginning of each academic year, the University's School of Foreign Languages administers an English preparatory exemption examination for newly enrolled students. Students who successfully pass this examination are exempt from the one-year English preparatory program. Students who do not take the examination or who do not achieve the required level are enrolled in the one-year English preparatory program.

In addition, the curriculum includes the compulsory courses “Advanced English I” and “Advanced English II”, which are offered in the first year. The curriculum also includes various compulsory and professional elective courses taught in English.

This structure aims to support students in developing their ability to use English effectively in both academic and professional contexts throughout their university education.
