Dear Students,

Today, knowledge and information technology applications are among the essential prerequisites for the development of a country. As one of the most important technological applications, computers increase competition across all sectors. In addition, interdisciplinary programs that integrate multiple fields simultaneously continue to gain importance and expand worldwide. As a result of these developments, organizations that use or develop such systems and approaches increasingly need professionals with specialized education and expertise in these areas.

The Department of Management Information Systems was established to meet these needs by bringing together the disciplines of management and computer science. Guided by our mission of educating versatile future managers capable of developing the information systems required by organizations, our department aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed in a world where data management is becoming increasingly important. The department provides students with significant opportunities to utilize information and data technologies in strategic decision-making processes in both the public and private sectors. In this context, our graduates can pursue a wide range of career opportunities in the public and private sectors as business analysts, information technology consultants, systems analysts, web developers, network administrators, and information systems managers. They can also work as innovative and entrepreneurial professionals in the private sector and non-governmental organizations.

If you are ready for a career full of such opportunities, we invite you to join the Department of Management Information Systems, supported by a young, successful, and innovative academic team, and to discover Tarsus—a city that has hosted numerous civilizations, located at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains on the Mediterranean coast and with a history as old as human civilization itself.
