What is the Double Major Program (ÇAP)?
 
Double Major Program (ÇAP): It is a program designed for students enrolled in an associate or undergraduate program to take all the courses specified by another department at their university, successfully complete both programs within the same period, and obtain a second associate or undergraduate degree in another field. (It is a Degree Program.)

Double Major Program (ÇAP) Application Requirements

  1. The student must have successfully completed all credit-bearing courses in the undergraduate program taken up to the semester in which the application is made.
  2. The student must not be enrolled in another double major program. A student cannot apply for or enroll in more than one double major program at the same time. However, a student may apply for or enroll in a minor program in addition to a double major program.
  3. The student may apply to the second major degree program at the earliest at the beginning of the 3rd semester and at the latest at the beginning of the 5th semester of the major undergraduate degree program.
  4. At the time of application, the student's general academic grade point average in the major program must be at least 3.00 out of 4.00, and the student must be among the top 20% in the achievement ranking of the major program.
  5. Students whose general academic grade point average in the major degree program is at least 3.00 out of 4.00 but who are not among the top 20% in the achievement ranking may also apply to the double major program, provided that they have a score not lower than the base score of the program to which the double major will be pursued in the relevant year.
