Nowadays, information and information technology applications are amongst the required preconditions for the development of a country. Computers, as one of technological applications, are increasing the competition in all industries. In addition to these, programmes which include various disciplines simultaneously are continuing to spread worldwide, increasing their importance. As a result, institutions that use or produce these systems and approaches need specialists who had education on this topic. 

Management Information Systems Department is established to meet these needs and it combines management and computer science disciplines. Our department, which has a mission of educating multi versatile manager candidates to create information systems that each institution needs, aims to gain the required experience and skills to our students in our world wherein data management is ever increasing. It provides an important opportunity on behalf of using information and data technologies for strategic decision making in public and private sector. In this context, our graduates, can work in various positions such as business analyst, information technology consultant, system analyst, web developer, network manager or information manager in public or private sector. Besides, they can perform duties as innovative and entrepreneur specialists in private sector and nongovernmental organizations.
